Who We’re Looking For?

• Preferably has 1+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance in welding, fabrication field
• Basic knowledge of industrial mechanical systems.
• Able to use technical tools such as welding.
• Willing to work in shifts if required
• Able to come to our site in Sei Mangkei, Simalungun, North Sumatera

What You’ll Be Doing?

The mechanical technician (welder) Staff is responsible for performing welding, fabrication, repair, and installation works on machinery, equipment, piping, and metal structures to support smooth plant operations, safety, and production efficiency

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding works using SMAW, GTAW, MIG, or other approved welding methods.
• Carry out fabrication, cutting, grinding, and assembly of metal parts and structures.
• Repair damaged machine parts, piping systems, tanks, frames, supports, and production equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and job specifications.
• Ensure welding quality meets company standards and technical requirements
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities requiring welding or metal repair.
• Modify machine parts or structures for improvement and operational needs.
• Assist mechanical technicians during shutdown, installation, or breakdown repair works
• Inspect weld joints for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, and incomplete fusion.
• Check dimensions, alignment, and fitting before and after welding.
• Rework welding defects when necessary
