About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance and reliability of our equipment in the Body Shop area. This role focuses on ensuring maximum uptime of welding lines, jigs, robots, and automation systems used in the vehicle body manufacturing process.
Requirements
Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
Minimum 4 years of experience in Body Shop maintenance in automotive manufacturing industries
Strong understanding of welding systems (spot, MIG/MAG), jigs, and fixtures
Experienced in maintaining and troubleshooting automation equipment, especially industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa)
Familiarity with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Omron), sensors, control panels, and safety interlocks
Experience with TPM, preventive and predictive maintenance systems
Able to read technical drawings and manuals
Willing to work in a fast-paced automotive production environment
Good problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills
Fluent in English
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and emergency maintenance on body shop equipment including welding robots, jigs, conveyors, and handling systems
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on automated production lines
Conduct root cause analysis and implement countermeasures for recurring issues
Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve reliability
Monitor and analyze machine performance to plan proactive maintenance
Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and process improvements
Ensure maintenance work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and spare parts usage
