Overview and Responsibilities :

• Sourcing Engineer: Interfaces with development and supplier engineering to provide materials and components for company's product manufacturing. Communicates product specifications to suppliers and assesses suppliers' ability to meet engineering and quality requirements.

• To be able to perform cost analysis and select the best supplier to meet the product requirement

• Evaluates suppliers' internal functions to assess their overall performance and provide feedback on their operation.

• Qualifies suppliers according to company standards and may administer a Certified Supplier Program in receiving inspection to ensure cost-effectiveness.

• Works with Engineering and management to assess business needs and contribute to the development of procurement and as per company strategies.

• To perform cost reduction, VA/VE activities focusing on packaging & labels to achieve the KPIs set by the management

• Handles requests for information, quotations, proposals, and bidding processes for the assigned commodities (packaging, label, or other mechanical parts). To be able to perform cost analysis and select best supplier to meet the product requirement

• Evaluate current and potential suppliers in coordination with Supplier Quality Teams.

• Negotiates with suppliers to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

• Drives the parts and process qualification in coordination with Supplier Quality Teams.

• Establishes and maintains rapport with all levels of supplier personnel and internal customers.

• Identifies opportunities and implements actions to achieve efficiencies.

• Identify and qualify suppliers for PCB fabrication and raw materials. Manage supplier development and onboarding. Conduct supplier audits and evaluations

• Be the primary point of contact for EQ resolution on new parts and provide technical support to engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams and suppliers and customers. Interpret engineering drawings and BOMs. Understand PCB design and manufacturing processes and provide input

• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as single-source dependency.

• Manage RFQs (Request for Quotation) and RFIs (Request for Information).

• Analyze supplier spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost reduction initiatives

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in the fields of engineering, or manufacturing.

• Working experience above 5 years in related fields.

• Good negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills are required to lean on networks to get the best price.

• Global sourcing experience.

• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional teams in a dynamic work environment.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving/decision-making skills; ability to make timely, effective, fact-based decisions. Includes a strong working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and scheduling software.

• Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships and influence up, down, and across organizational lines.
