Habitat for Humanity (HFH) Indonesia is looking for an experienced senior leader to oversee human resources strategy, talent acquisition, employee development, and organizational culture. This role is based in Jakarta and involves partnering with senior leadership, developing HR initiatives for growth, and managing regional or company-wide HR operations. The successful candidate will be offered an initial contract of 1 year that is subject to renewal depending on funds availability.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Leadership – Collaborate with the HFH Indonesia Leadership Team to align HR strategies with HFH’s mission and strategic goals; develop, implement, evaluate HR policies, procedures, and initiatives; understand HFH Indonesia operations to provide sound advice; support the National Director in organization design, including restructuring; provide strategic input for grant proposals; lead the HR and Administration team to implement the department’s objectives.
  • Partnership Management – Maintain regular coordination with department heads to fulfill the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), and HFH Indonesia strategic plan; liaise with Government offices in coordination with the National Director.
  • Talent Acquisition – Lead recruitment efforts (posting, screening, interviewing, selection); develop and maintain onboarding to ensure smooth integration; manage workforce planning to ensure right people with the right skills at the right time.
  • Employee Development & Training – Identify training needs and design programs to enhance skills and performance; promote continuous learning; develop HR capacity, succession planning, staff retention, Occupational Health and Safety and Safeguarding; promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Servant Leadership capabilities.
  • Performance Management – Implement and oversee performance appraisal; develop performance improvement plans; coach leaders to manage performance effectively.
  • Compensation & Benefits – Administer compensation and benefits programs; conduct compensation reviews; maintain competitive salary benchmarks.
  • Employee Relations – Primary point of contact for employee relations, conflict resolution, and grievances; promote open communication, inclusion, and diversity; act as mediator as needed.
  • Legal Compliance & Risk Management – Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations; maintain HR records; manage HR-related risks and audits; ensure practices align with policies within cross-cultural and national contexts.
  • Organizational Culture & Change Management – Communicate culture, respond to organizational changes, assess attitudes, and track trends; develop initiatives to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion; address survey results with action plans.
  • HR Data and Analytics – Collect and analyze HR data to inform decisions; report key HR metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Policy Development and Employee Handbook – Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with legal requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, Organizational Psychology, or Labor and Employment Relations; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in an HR or Learning & Organizational Development function
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience leading a team
