Senior Penetration Tester

The Opportunity:

We're a cybersecurity startup with a specialized Red Team that acts as our adversary, using advanced tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to continuously test and harden our internal defenses. We're looking for a Senior Penetration Tester to join our team, lead complex engagements, and help us build a more resilient security platform.

This is a rare opportunity to operate at the intersection of offensive security, data science, and AI. You will be responsible for planning and executing advanced red team exercises, mentoring junior staff, and providing the critical insights our AI needs to learn from real-world attacks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and conduct advanced penetration tests across a wide range of environments (web, mobile, network, cloud, IoT).

• Design and execute sophisticated red team and adversary simulation exercises.

• Perform manual testing to uncover complex business logic flaws and chain vulnerabilities.

• Scoping technical requirements and crafting proposals for new client engagements.

• Author high-quality, executive-level and technical reports, clearly explaining risks and remediation strategies.

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior penetration testers.

• Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-level executives.

• Contribute to the development of internal methodologies, tools, and scripts.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in penetration testing and red teaming.

• Proven expertise in multiple domains (e.g., web app, network, internal, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)).

• Deep understanding of exploitation techniques, post-exploitation, and lateral movement.

• Mastery of penetration testing tools (Burp Suite Pro, Metasploit, C2 frameworks, custom tooling).

• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Ruby, PowerShell, or Go).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to write detailed reports.

• Experience in client-facing roles and managing engagement timelines.

Preferred / Bonus Skills:

• Advanced certifications (e.g., OSCP, OSCE, OSEE, OSWE, GXPN, CRT).

• Experience with binary analysis, reverse engineering, or malware development.

• Published research, CVEs, or a strong reputation in the bug bounty community.

• Development experience (e.g., code review for security flaws).

• Experience building and customizing command-and-control (C2) infrastructure.
