The Role

Seven Clean Seas is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Accountant / Senior Accountant to oversee and strengthen our financial operations.

This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting strategic financial decisions, and managing financial reporting across multiple entities.

The ideal candidate is someone who goes beyond bookkeeping, a finance professional who can analyse numbers, identify improvements, and support leadership with clear financial insights.

You will work closely with leadership, operations, and external partners to ensure the financial health and transparency of the organisation as we scale our environmental impact globally.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Operations & Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across company entities.
• Record and reconcile financial transactions in accounting software.
• Ensure proper documentation and organisation of financial records.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Perform bank, payment platform, and intercompany reconciliations.

2. Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Produce profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor financial performance and highlight variances against budgets.
• Present financial insights and reports to management to support decision-making.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support leadership in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Track and analyse financial performance against budget targets.
• Assist with financial planning to support business growth and operational efficiency.

4. Tax Compliance

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation and filing of local tax obligations.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors when necessary.
• Stay updated on changes to Indonesian tax laws and compliance requirements.
• Support tax planning initiatives where applicable.

5. Audit & Internal Controls

• Prepare financial documentation for internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with auditors and respond to audit inquiries.
• Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks.

6. Financial Analysis & Business Support

• Conduct financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and financial efficiency.
• Provide financial insights to support project budgeting and investment decisions.
• Assist leadership with financial modelling and scenario analysis when required.

7. Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation for financial processes and controls.
• Support the improvement and optimisation of financial systems and processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA / ACCA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Experience working with international or multi-entity organisations is a strong advantage.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems.
• Experience managing month-end closing and financial reporting cycles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills with a good command of English.
