We are looking for a Procurement to manage vendor sourcing and negotiations for containers, shipping lines, logistics, freight forwarders, or air cargo.
REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's degree (S1) in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or related fields;
3-5 years of procurement/project cargo experience in container, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or air freight industry (experience with SPARE PARTS FOR TRUCKS OR SPARE PARTS FOR VESSEL IS NOT relevant for this role);
Fluent in English (both written and spoken) to communicate effectively with international vendors and partners;
Having experience in logistics projects, including import/export, break bulk cargo, and overweight cargo;
Strong negotiation skills with experience especially in terms of freight rates and prices with vendors;
Having experience in vendor management and supplier relations;
Excellent knowledge of procurement best practices and logistics industry trends;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
Good communication and interpersonal skills;
RESPONSIBILITES:
Source and negotiate with vendors for containers, shipping lines, logistics services, and air freight solutions to secure the best rates and terms;
Handle logistics projects, including import/export, break bulk cargo, and overweight cargo;
Manage the procurement process from supplier selection, price negotiation, contract management, and order fulfillment to ensure smooth operations;
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and monitor their performance to ensure service quality and cost efficiency;
Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, and sales) to align procurement activities with business needs;
Analyze market trends and vendor pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement strategies;
Handle documentation, contracts, and purchase orders in compliance with company policies and industry regulations;
Solve procurement-related issues, including delays, quality concerns, and contract issues, while ensuring timely resolution;
Support other operational tasks as needed to ensure smooth daily logistics and business operations.
