Job Overview
As Procurement Director, you will architect and lead our global procurement strategy across SEA. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional who combines technical acumen with commercial savvy to identify OEM partners, mitigate risks, and unlock growth through strategic resource orchestration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Global Raw Materials Database Construction and Management:
o Assist in the establishment and maintenance of a global raw materials database to ensure the stability and diversity of material supply and reduce supply chain risks.
o Research and analyze global raw material market trends, including price movements, supplier qualifications, and supplier relationship management, to provide data support for the company's procurement strategies.
o Participate in the development and evaluation process of new suppliers to establish long-term and stable raw material supply channels.
o Promote the implementation of local supplier management systems in Indonesia, such as ERP and PLM, to enhance the efficiency and transparency of raw material management.
2. Collaboration with Indonesian Factory Operations:
o Maintain regular communication with relevant departments at the Indonesian factory to ensure raw materials meet production needs.
o Monitor potential risks and issues related to materials, ensuring the smooth execution of production plans.
o Coordinate resource allocation, optimize procurement costs, and assist in enhancing factory operational efficiency.
3. Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with the headquarters' procurement department and various local departments, including production, finance, and logistics, to ensure accurate transmission of information and efficient collaboration across all stages of the supply chain.
o Regularly organize or participate in supply chain-related meetings to share information, resolve issues, and promote continuous improvement in procurement methods and processes.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, International Trade, or a related field preferred.
· At least 5 years of experience in procurement, international supply chain management in the flavor industry or food ingredients industry; cross-border supply chain management experience is a plus.
· Proven experience in sourcing raw materials specifically for the flavor and fragrance industry or food ingredients sector.
· Demonstrated experience in identifying, evaluating, and developing third-party contract manufacturers (OEM/ODM).
· Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to engage in international business communication and negotiations effectively.
· Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and decision-making capabilities.
· A strong sense of responsibility, teamwork spirit, and resilience under pressure, capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
