  • Coordinate baseline assessments including land use, hydrology, peat depth, vegetation, and socio-economic factors.

2. Carbon Methodology & Documentation

  • Prepare or support the development of Project Description (PD), Monitoring Report (MR), and other validation/verification documents.

  • Ensure compliance with Verra registry requirements and updates, including buffer pool, permanence risk, and non-permanence monitoring.

3. Field Monitoring & Data Management

  • Develop and execute monitoring plans for GHG emissions, water table depth, peat subsidence, and vegetation recovery.

  • Oversee installation and maintenance of hydrological monitoring equipment.

  • Analyze and report technical data to feed into carbon accounting models and verification reports.

4. Stakeholder Engagement & Capacity Building

  • Liaise with local communities, government agencies, and partners to promote co-benefits of peatland restoration.

  • Support FPIC and community co-design of livelihood options aligned with peatland conservation.

  • Train local staff and field teams on peatland management best practices and data collection protocols.

5. Environmental and Risk Management

  • Conduct risk assessments related to fire, illegal drainage, and encroachment.

  • Develop fire prevention and early response strategies specific to peatland areas.

  • Ensure adherence to environmental and social safeguards (e.g., Verra CCB standards, IFC PS).
