Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the Mold Shop team to ensure optimal performance and accountability

2. Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance strategies for molds

3. Monitor and control the condition and lifecycle of molds to ensure production continuity and quality

4. Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Production, Engineering, and Quality) to resolve mold-related issues and improve product outcomes

5. Plan and oversee mold refurbishments, repairs, and part replacements to minimize downtime

6. Maintain and improve the mold management system, including history records, checklists, and inventory

7. Identify and implement continuous improvement projects related to tooling performance, efficiency, and cost reduction

8. Uphold compliance with company standards such as ISO 9001, TPM, 5S, and K3 (Occupational Safety)

9. Participate in capital planning for new tooling investments and mold design evaluations

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Tooling Engineering, or related field

2. Minimum 5 years of experience in Mold Shop operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role within the plastic injection molding industry

3. Deep understanding of mold structures and functions (cold & hot runner systems, mold components, lifters, etc.)

4. Strong leadership and team development skills, with proven experience in managing technical personnel

5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files

6. Proficiency in using mold shop equipment: milling, grinding, EDM, and fitting tools

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for root cause analysis and troubleshooting

8. Knowledge of ISO, TPM, and safety regulations in industrial environments

9. Excellent communication, documentation, and reporting skills
