About the role
We are seeking an experienced Mine Surveyor to join our team at PT Bumi Barito Mineral (COKAL Group) on a contract basis. Based in Murung Raya, Central Kalimantan, this role is crucial in supporting our mining operations and ensuring accurate surveying and mapping of our site. As a Mine Surveyor, you will play a key part in the overall success of our mining projects.
What you'll be doing
Performing detailed surveys of the mining site, including topographic, geological, and infrastructure surveys
Preparing and updating mine plans, maps, and other spatial data to support mining activities
Monitoring and maintaining survey control networks and benchmarks
Collaborating with the mining, geology, and engineering teams to provide survey data and analysis
Ensuring all survey work is conducted in compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
Mentoring and training junior survey staff to develop their skills and expertise
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in Coal Mining Surveying or a related discipline
5+ years of experience as a Mine Surveyor, preferably in the mining, resources, or energy sectors
Demonstrated proficiency in using surveying equipment and software, such as total stations, GPS Geodetic, and CAD applications
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of relevant mining regulations and survey standards
