About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Warehouse Chief (Supervisor/Asst. Manager) to join our dynamic team at PT Samsung SDS Global SCL Indonesia, based in Karawang, West Java. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective management of our inventory and logistics.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching of goods

2. Supervise and lead a team of warehouse personnel, providing guidance, training and performance management

3. Implement and maintain efficient inventory control systems, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely order fulfillment

4. Liaise with other departments, such as procurement and transportation, to optimise logistics and supply chain operations

5. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse productivity and cost-effectiveness

6. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

7. Prepare and analyse operational reports to provide insights and recommendations to management

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a warehouse or logistics environment

2. Strong understanding of warehouse management principles, including inventory control, storage optimisation and distribution

3. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

4. Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software

5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams

7. Familiarity with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations in the logistics industry
