WWF Indonesia melalui program rekrutmennya saat ini sedang membuka lowongan kerja untuk posisi Finance Accounting Manager di Jambi yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja operasional di dalam maupun luar kantor WWF Indonesia. I. SUMMARY
WWF-Indonesia is hiring on behalf of PT Alam Bukit Tigapuluh for the position of Finance and Accounting Manager.
The Finance and Accounting Manager plays a critical role in supporting the CEO by implementing and overseeing robust financial management and accounting systems that ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance. This position is responsible for managing the full spectrum of financial governance, from initial transactions to final reconciliation, ensuring consistency and alignment with established standards. The role encompasses oversight of accounting processes, development of systematic account codes, maintenance of standard journals, and preparation of periodic financial statements as part of the company’s financial decision-support system.
In this strategic position, the Finance and Accounting Manager is pivotal in influencing the company’s performance and credibility by delivering accurate, timely financial reports that comply with Financial Accounting Standards (FAS) and donor guidelines. This role also ensures the proper administration of financial resources from donors, adherence to government regulations, and the implementation of an efficient financial reporting system to support both organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
II. RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Management Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CEO in developing budget plans for company activities with support from other relevant units.
- Ensure the financial requirements for company operations are met effectively.
- Prepare all-inclusive financial statements in accordance with statutory company reporting requirements, including project and program-specific financial reports.
- Responsible for maintaining the updated bank signatories panel.
- Coordinate the activities of the finance unit, internet banking, including petty cash.
- Undertake additional tasks assigned by the CEO to support organizational goals.
- Apply zero tolerance on corruption and report to the CEO and higher level when necessary.
B. Internal Control Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Ensure segregation of duties, authorization controls, and compliance with financial policies and procedures across all financial processes.
- Lead the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits, ensuring timely provision of required documentation.
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and corrective action plans, and report progress regularly to management.
C. Technical Responsibilities
- Implement financial systems and procedures with adequate control and monitoring parameters.
- Act as a resource-based focal point by providing accurate financial information to relevant stakeholders.
- Understand cost accounting and identify cost drivers for financial allocation, planning, and budgeting.
- Support project proposal development by constructing budgets aligned with project objectives and ensuring compliance with donor requirements and government regulations.
- Prepare monthly reporting, including balance sheets, profit and loss reports, bank reconciliations, tax reports, and other balance sheet reconciliations, duly reviewed and signed by the CEO.
D. Financial Responsibilities
- Develop annual budgets and budget proposals in collaboration with the CEO.
- Monitor expenditure and fund absorption to ensure alignment with budgets, financial plans, and donor reporting requirements.
- Maintain cash flow projections and reporting to ensure positive cash flow.
- Supervise the activities of finance staff, including petty cashiers and accounting personnel.
- Administer payroll and ensure accurate compensation for all employees.
- Prepare various financial reports, including; Project-specific financial statements, Company-level financial statements, comprising; Statement of Financial Position (Balance Sheet), Activity Report, Statement of Cash Flows, Tax-related financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and donor requirements related to company finances, including maintaining financial practices that adhere to funding agreements and legal standards.
- Provide regular updates and written financial reports to the CEO detailing the organization’s financial development and status.
- Monitor key financial performance indicators and provide recommendations to improve financial efficiency and effectiveness.
- Deliver training on accounting and finance practices to partners, fostering capacity-building and knowledge sharing.
III. REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or other relevant fields.
- Master’s degree (S2) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management is preferred.
- Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) will be a significant added value.
- Minimum eight (8) years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience managing donor-funded projects, grant compliance, and external audits is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of financial governance, accounting systems, tax regulations, donor compliance requirements, and budget management.
- Familiarity with developing financial policies, procedures, and reporting systems.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is preferred. Basic English proficiency is acceptable for effective communication and reporting.
- High cultural sensitivity with the ability to work effectively in diverse and complex social environments, including navigating financial matters involving Indigenous Peoples and local communities.
- Understanding of risk-based approaches to managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with government regulations and donor guidelines.
- Ability to design and facilitate financial training sessions for staff and partners.
- Knowledge of broader social and environmental issues, such as gender equity and social development, is an advantage.
- Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, financial process automation, and chart of accounts governance is preferred.
