Description :

Cyber Security Specialist is responsible for providing security for an organization’s overall IT system; it includes developing, implementing, and managing an organization’s information security strategy as well as protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization’s data and information systems. They coordinate an IT team and work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices.

An insurance BPO company with global operation is looking for a passionate individual to work as Cyber Security Specialist. You will work alongside our global IT team and carry out main responsibilities such as:

1. Monitor and analyze security alerts, incidents, and vulnerabilities to identify potential threats and intrusions.
2. Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure compliance with client and industry standards and regulations.
3. Explore, install, configure, maintain and develop security software and hardware, including firewalls, antivirus programs, and encryption tools.
4. Act as liaison in regard of cyber security (incl. pitching on our implemented cyber security policies) with clients and prospective clients.
5. Lead emergency response team, conduct investigations, develop incident reports, and respond to clients (if necessary) upon security incidents.
6. Stay updated with cyber security trends.
7. Be responsible and enforce the global implementation of cyber security policies.

Must-Have Requirements:

1. Min. 1-year proven experience & knowledge with cybersecurity best practices and frameworks.
2. Excellent command in verbal and written English (please attach your latest TOEFL/IELTS score, if any).
3. Strong knowledge of computer networking skill (e.g., Switching – VLAN, Routing, VPN).
4. Excellent understanding of security technologies, including firewalls (Forti/Cisco), intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus, encryption, and identity/access management.
5. Analytical skill at identifying vulnerabilities and implementing robust security measures.
6. Effective communicators who thrive in collaborative team settings.

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

1. Min. Diploma Degree majoring in technology or engineering related majors.
2. Detail-oriented individuals excelling in fast-paced, security-conscious environments.
3. Experience with security risk assessment methodologies and tools.
4. Experience in developing and delivering security awareness and training programs.
5. Familiarity with cloud security/virtual workspace environment and emerging technologies, incl. Microsoft product suite (365, Azure AD, Defender, Entra, Intune).
6. Interest in vulnerability assessment, privacy, data protection, cyber laws.
7. Up to date knowledge of the latest cyber security trends and hacker tactics.
8. Understanding of security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST.
