Position: Contract Engineer - SURF Package (FEED to EPCI)Location: Kuala Lumpur / Jakarta Contract Type: ContractIndustry: Oil & Gas / Deepwater About the Role We are seeking an experienced Contract Engineer to support the delivery of a Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines (SURF) package from the FEED stage through to EPCI execution. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, managing, and administering contract strategies to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective execution of the project in line with company objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain contract strategies and plans for the SURF package throughout FEED and EPCI phases.
• Manage tendering process including preparation of ITT, bid evaluation, clarifications, negotiations, and award recommendations.
• Draft, review, and finalize contractual documentation in compliance with company policies and project requirements.
• Act as focal point for contractual matters between project team, contractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor contractor performance, compliance, and variations; manage claims and disputes.
• Work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, and legal teams to mitigate risks and achieve project objectives.
• Provide regular reporting on contract status, risks, and KPIs to project leadership.

 Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Engineering, Law, Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
• Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in contract engineering/management within offshore oil & gas, preferably on SURF / subsea projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract forms (FIDIC, LOGIC, bespoke offshore contracts).
• Track record of managing contracts across FEED, tendering, and EPCI execution phases.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and interface with senior stakeholders.
