Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Barista Team: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of baristas, providing guidance on techniques, customer service, and product knowledge.

• Quality Control: Ensure the preparation and presentation of coffee and other beverages consistently meet the café's high standards.

• Customer Experience: Provide exceptional customer service, interact with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere, and address customer inquiries or concerns.

• Inventory Management: Oversee the stock and inventory of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; ensure timely ordering and restocking to prevent shortages.

• Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all food safety and health regulations; maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and equipment.

• Shift Management: Handle daily opening and closing duties, manage the barista schedule, and ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, etc.) is well-maintained, cleaned, and in good working order. Report any issues to management.

• Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience as a barista, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.

• Skills: Expert knowledge of coffee preparation, brewing methods, and espresso equipment.

• Customer Service: Strong communication skills with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

• Leadership: Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexibility: Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

• Barista certifications or specialized training (e.g., Specialty Coffee Association, barista courses).

• Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
