About the role

As a Business Development Representative for PT Aptella Solusi Teknologi, you will play a crucial role in driving new business opportunities within the mining industry. This full-time position is based in South Tangerang, Banten, and will involve identifying and engaging with prospective clients to expand the company's customer base.

What you'll be doing

1. Proactively research and identify potential new clients in the mining sector

2. Initiate and manage the sales pipeline, from initial outreach to contract negotiation

3. Meet or exceed budgeted sales targets

4. Analyse and recommend sales and related procedure improvements

5. Monitor and provide feedback on customers, market changes and competitor activities

6. Liaise with accounting department to support customer credit and collections

7. Demonstrate the company's products and services, highlighting their value proposition

8. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective strategies and campaigns

9. Maintain a thorough understanding of the mining industry and competitors

10. Accurately report on sales activities and pipeline progress

11. Provide feedback to management on market trends and customer requirements

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience in a new business development or sales role, ideally within the mining industry

2. Achieve or exceed planned profitability

3. Expert knowledge of mining related products inclusive of machine control, machine guidance, fleet management, safety, and geo positioning

4. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior-level stakeholders. Strong English will be highly regarded

5. Excellent research and prospecting skills to identify and qualify new business opportunities

6. Demonstrated ability to navigate complex sales cycles and close deals

7. Familiarity with the mining industry and its key challenges and trends

8. A collaborative mindset and the willingness to work as part of a dynamic team
