Job Title AVP, Ops Control and Compliance, Operations

Job Responsibilities - Ensure Custodian regulatory compliance: The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all custodian operations comply with relevant regulatory requirements. - Develop and maintain policies & procedures: The individual will be tasked with developing and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards. - Identify, monitor, and manage compliance risks: A key responsibility will be to identify, monitor, and manage any compliance risks that may arise in the operations. - Custodian transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reporting: The candidate will oversee the monitoring of custodian transactions and report any suspicious activities. - Provide training and awareness for new/update regulation to custodian team members: The individual will be responsible for training team members on new or updated regulations. - Escalate and report compliance matters: The candidate must escalate and report any compliance issues to the relevant authorities or departments within the organization. - Liaise with regulators, police, and prosecutors during inspections and inquiries: The individual will be required to interact with regulators and law enforcement during inspections and inquiries.

Education and Experience Information - Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, or Accounting is required. - Professional certification in compliance is an advantage. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in securities services fund compliance, preferably in a risk management leadership role. - Strong background in banking, financial services, or regulatory institutions is essential. - Strong leadership and people management skills are required. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities are necessary. - High integrity, ethical judgment, and independence are critical for this role. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to interact with regulators, are required. - The candidate should have initiatives and be able to oversee compliance programs effectively. - Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a must. - The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities is essential.
