About the role
As the Accounting Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's financial accounting and reporting. This is full-time position based at our Subsidiary in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, and will involve overseeing various accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
What you'll be doing
Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Providing support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Collaborating with the finance team to analyze financial data and provide insights to management
Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all accounting records and transactions
Assisting in the implementation of internal controls and accounting policies
Providing support in the audit process and responding to audit queries
Mentoring and guiding junior accounting staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
What we're looking for
Candidates must be domiciled in the Balikpapan area
A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
At least 10 years of experience in a similar accounting assistant manager role, preferably within the mining or resources industry
Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address financial discrepancies
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records
Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of Indonesian Accounting Standards (PSAK) and relevant tax regulations.
