Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant - Tax to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax accounting principles, be familiar with tax preparation processes, and have the ability to manage day-to-day tax-related activities. This role will involve assisting with tax filings, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns (corporate, individual, and sales tax).
• Prepare tax provisions and related schedules in compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform tax research to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Assist with tax audits, gathering required documentation, and liaising with tax authorities as needed.
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and payments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of tax transactions and tax-related financial data.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and recommend necessary adjustments to tax strategies.
• Support management in various accounting and tax-related matters, including internal and external reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and related disclosures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations (federal, state, and local).
• Experience with tax preparation software and financial reporting tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or progress toward CPA certification.
• Experience in corporate tax or public accounting is a plus.
