Role Purpose

• The Vice President (VP) of E2E Core Architecture & Product Services plays a pivotal leadership role in shaping the strategic direction and execution of the company's Core Network evolution, Cloud-Native and AI Native Telco transformation as well as help bringing new ideas and use cases to life.
• This role is responsible for architecting, governing, techno commercial collaboration, driving AI adoption in Core, championing innovation in product technology space and enabling next-generation core network platforms (2G/3G/4G/5G), defining cloud strategies, API frameworks, and delivering scalable, secure, and future-proof product services in line with business goals.
• This role will have high visibility and will require the incumbent to navigate both technical and commercial terrains. Requiring the incumbent to have experience in similar environments and experience in managing stakeholders at various levels and across different parts of business.

Job Description

• Define and lead the strategic vision for Core Network, Telco Cloud Architecture, AI and monetisation capabilities.
• Deliver actionable short-term (1-year) and long-term (3-5 years) strategic roadmaps.
• Provide executive leadership to cross-functional teams across technology and business domains.
• Represent the company as a thought leader in emerging technologies and industry engagements.
• Architect and govern E2E Core Network (2G/3G/4G/5G) across Data & Voice domains.
• Define and implement Telco Cloud strategy (OpenStack, Kubernetes, CNFs).
• Define and implement surrounding capabilities and ecosystem to support API economies, as well as productization of new capabilities and use cases
• Ensure architecture aligns with scalability, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead Core Network RFPs and vendor evaluation processes.
• Define the overall transformation strategy from legacy Core (2G/4G) to Cloud-Native 5G Core, as well as AI Native telco
• Lead strategic planning and scenario development for both short- and long-term transformation phases.
• Ensure roadmap alignment with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and technology evolution.
• Provide strategic guidance to project execution teams.
• Lead Core Network capacity planning and forecasting for both Data and Voice domains.
• Drive the Annual Operating Plan (AoP) for Core, based on commercial forecasts.
• Collaborate closely with Demand and Commercial teams to ensure proper forecasting across all E2E Core elements (Control, User Plane, IMS, Signalling, etc.).
• Define and enforce design principles ensuring performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Present and seek approval new design principles at ARB (Architecture Review Board)
• Control Core Network budget (CAPEX/OPEX).
• Ensure financial planning aligned with business & network strategy.
• Lead and drive the cost leadership across Core Planning, Architecture & Engineering division.
• Lead the cost optimization, coordinate closely with Sourcing team, with Sourcing leading negotiations.
• Lead Core Product Engineering for service readiness and enablement.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Sales on go-to-market strategies.
• Lead and facilitate ideation workshops with relevant commercial and product stakeholder groups
• Ensure platform readiness to support new services.
• Lead the API Economy enablement discussions with relevant commercial and product teams. Facilitate technology capability roadmap to support business needs.
• Define and implement Telco API strategy (Open Gateway, CAMARA, 3GPP standards).
• Ensure API platform scalability, security, and stability.
• Coordinate closely with Business, Product, and Commercial teams to drive API adoption and monetization.
• Engage with key stakeholders including vendors, regulators, and internal leadership.
• Drive vendor governance, risk mitigation, and compliance oversight.
• Ensure strong internal alignment with Planning Strategies team to support coordinated Core Network evolution.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Demand, and B2B teams to align Core deliverables with business objectives.
• Champion individual development of team members, including help identifying skills gaps and supporting the team developing relevant business, technical and soft skills.
• Guide and mentor the team in their development ambitions and journey.
• Ensure team member are ready for the future needs
