About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cook Sushi (Japanese Foods) to join our dynamic team at PT Hookah Place Partnership in Badung, Bali. As a full-time employee, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality Japanese cuisine, with a focus on sushi, to delight our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Expertly prepare a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, maki, and uramaki rolls

• Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully and in accordance with traditional Japanese culinary standards

• Collaborate with the wider kitchen team to deliver exceptional Japanese cuisine

• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

• Assist with menu development and item costing as needed

• Provide excellent customer service and respond to any inquiries or special requests

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a sushi or Japanese cuisine chef, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role

• Thorough knowledge of traditional Japanese cooking techniques and presentation styles

• Strong knife skills and the ability to prepare a wide variety of sushi and Japanese dishes

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
