Strategic Investments & M&A Manager covering international deals in Asia

As part of its international M&A ambition Total Specific Solutions (TSS) aims to expand its M&A presence in multiple Asian countries. Therefore, the company is looking for an entrepreneurial individual who will support the international deal team covering these Asian countries with the basis of the role in Jakarta, Indonesia.

As a M&A Manager you will become part of the TSS M&A Asia team and you will work with our BD (business development) manager and M&A Manager (both are based in The Netherlands), frequently and report directly to these two. The TSS CEO supported by the Realta management team is responsible for M&A growth in Asia. You will therefore regularly have meetings with him and the management team of Realta. We have extensive M&A experience and the M&A team is supported by a business development team for deal origination.

TSS has extensive experience in acquisitions. We work with internal and external models and insights. For the analysis of the investment, the candidate can also rely on a team with extensive experience supported by benchmarks based on proven core ratios. Yet, in the philosophy of the firm each proposition towards a seller is unique.

You will support the team with doing deals by entering into and maintaining relationships with potential acquisition targets in Indonesia, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam as well as by building relationships with Corporate Finance advisors, financial investors like private equity firms and other multiplayers in the market (Accounting Firms, Law Firms, Banks e.g.).

You engage into direct contact with the owners of the targets and from this relation know how to find the match between the objectives of the company, the shareholder(s) and TSS and to build such a good relationship that he/she will be approached with priority if the seller decides to start a process.

You will be able to actively manage the whole M&A process. You can make a quick assessment of the main drivers of the current performance of the company and you can estimate the potential of the company and how that potential can be capitalized by means of the knowledge and the operating principles of TSS.

Ideal profile

An independent thinker who keeps focusing on the target, who quickly develops own insights and who can apply them. Who is able to translate insights into a proposition for the seller and has a sufficiently developed sense of financial information and who is rational enough to translate ambition and commercial propositions into a rational investment.

·      Academic background from an established University

·      Fluent in English and Indonesian language(s) is a must (verbal and written) and a pre if you speak other Asian languages as well.

·      You are passionate about M&A and have 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in private equity, (corporate) M&A or transaction services.

·      Basic knowledge of and interest in software companies

·      Common business sense with financial affinity

·      Strong entrepreneurial, self-starting nature. Ability to work on a standalone basis with support of a manager if needed.

·      Strong analytical thinking to solve problems and grasp complex situations

·      Strong corporate finance knowledge and Excel modelling skills

·      Excellent communication and presentation skills

·      Loyalty, Integrity and self-confident, but able to deal with conflicts
