Job Title: Shipping Executive
Location: Bintan, Indonesia
Direct Manager: Global Operation Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Request freight quotations from forwarders and provide accurate quotes to customers or Customer Service Inside Sales.
Ensure all shipping documents are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulations.
Book shipments with the designated freight forwarder, ensuring all arrangements are confirmed.
Apply for export permits in a timely manner to facilitate smooth shipment processes.
Collaborate with Singapore warehouse staff to coordinate the collection and handling of shipments.
Work closely with haulers for containerized shipments to ensure timely and efficient transportation.
Verify the accuracy of bills of lading and airway bills, ensuring all details are correct before shipment.
Review draft forms for accuracy prior to submission to prevent delays in processing.
Send pre-alert notifications to customers regarding shipment details and timelines.
Monitor the status of shipments and provide timely updates to customers regarding any changes or delays.
Apply for insurance for shipments that require a separate insurance policy, ensuring adequate coverage.
Ensure compliance with ISO and CPAKB standards.
Key Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or relevant field related to supply chain.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Understanding of shipping, logistics, and supply chain management. Knowledge of customs documentation and processes is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Highly meticulous with a strong focus on details and organizational skills.
Strong negotiation abilities to facilitate effective communication and deal-making.
Ability to collaborate and work well with others in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
