Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for identifying project opportunities and issues, adjusting strategies accordingly. They negotiate with clients and suppliers regularly and hold accountability for the financial and technical success of projects. They oversee all phases of medium and/or complex projects, leading Project and/or Discipline Managers to achieve objectives.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• 15+ years relevant industry experience for EPC PM (minimum 8 years as a PM); 10+ years for FEED PM (minimum 5 years as a FEED PM)
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Construction Management
• Ability to develop project execution strategies, profit plans, and objectives aligned with company policies and business strategy
• Technical competency in project subject matter to manage challenges and select key team members
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to maintain comprehensive project knowledge and implement corrective actions
• Data analytics skills for tracking project performance
• Support project problem-solving and conflict resolution
• Contribute to policy and procedure development for continuous improvement
• Understanding of project and corporate linkages
• Champion adherence to company processes, procedures, and tools
• Strategic foresight to identify potential issues
• Knowledge of work planning, scheduling, cost controls, risk management, and forecasting
• Focus on digital transformation and supporting digital solutions
• Understanding of EPC contracts and strategies
• Empathy and empowerment skills for team leadership

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Manage EPC or EPFC projects in the range of $100m to $500m
• Oversee all aspects of project execution, including HSE, security, quality, schedule, and financial goals
• Lead during pre-contract to manage proposal preparation, estimate oversight, bid strategy, and risk management
• Represent McDermott in FEED execution, ensuring compliance with project goals
• Manage discrete project portions or entire projects, providing strategic leadership
• Ensure client satisfaction and project performance across technical, schedule, cost, quality, and safety metrics
• Develop and implement project plans, oversee resource allocation, and manage contractual relationships
• Drive issue resolution, monitor risks, and ensure contract compliance
• Maintain effective communication with clients and subcontractors, and oversee project documentation and reporting
• Administer contracts, manage change, and oversee project closeout activities
