The Receipting and Billing Administrator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, third-party compensable billings, and surgical billing processes. This role requires high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Receipting
• Process financial transactions accurately and promptly.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations, deposit management, and financial reporting.
• Maintain up-to-date records and ensure compliance with financial policies.
• Track remittances, resolve errors, and respond to receipting queries in a timely manner.
Billing
• Prepare, validate, and submit invoices for consultations, procedures, and third-party insurers.
• Ensure invoices comply with insurer, Medicare/DVA, and bulk billing requirements.
• Verify approvals, referrals, and billing rates prior to invoice submission.
• Manage surgical billings, including matching operation reports, approvals, and quotations before invoicing.
• Communicate with internal teams (Diary Manager, Surgical Manager) to ensure accurate and timely processing.
Compliance & Documentation
• Ensure billing processes align with relevant rules, regulations, and SOPs.
• Maintain accurate records of all receipting and billing activities.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Strong command of English.
• Experience in billing, finance administration, or healthcare receipting is an advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Genie or similar practice management software) is desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
