Job Description:We are looking for a results-driven Plant Manager with proven experience in carrageenan or hydrocolloid manufacturing to oversee all daily operations of our processing plant. The Plant Manager will be responsible for production efficiency, equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and workforce leadership to ensure high-quality output and optimal plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day operations of the carrageenan manufacturing plant.
Ensure adherence to production schedules, product quality standards, and cost-effective practices.
Implement and monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and food safety protocols.
Lead and develop cross-functional plant teams (production, maintenance, QA/QC, logistics).
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for productivity, efficiency, and downtime.
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Coordinate with R&D, QA, and Supply Chain teams to improve processes and reduce waste.
Manage inventory and raw material consumption.
Prepare operational reports and present to senior management.
Plan plant expansion or process improvement projects as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in food processing or hydrocolloid production (preferably carrageenan or similar industries).
At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of carrageenan production processes, seaweed handling, extraction, drying, and milling.
Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC).
Proficiency in production planning, lean manufacturing, and process optimization.
Knowledge in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting is an advantage.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
