Must have

• Lead and manage payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with local laws and internal policies.

• Identify and implement continuous improvements in payroll processes, systems, and tools to drive efficiency and accuracy.

• Lead, mentor, and support the payroll team to ensure service delivery standards are met.

• Maintain and update documentation related to payroll processes and controls.

• Act as a subject matter expert for payroll compliance and audit requirements

Required skills

Compensation Strategy and Analysis:

• Develop and implement compensation plans aligned with the company's objectives.

• Conduct regular market research and analysis to ensure competitive pay practices

• Manage annual salary reviews, promotion adjustment, and bonus calculation ensuring fair and consistent application of compensation policies.

• Design, and evaluate base pay, variable pay, and equity compensation programs to attract, retain, and motivate talent.

• Maintain and update job grading system, ensuring it remains relevant to evolving organizational needs

• Collaborate with division heads to provide guidance on compensation-related queries and issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field from a reputable university

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in payroll operations, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.

• Proficient in using MS Office at an advanced level

• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with payroll systems, and HRIS systems is a plus.

• Fluency in English; can speak Japanese languages are a plus.
