About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Merchandising Manager to join our dynamic team at PT Deus Ex Machina Indonesia. As the Merchandising Manager - Retail Apparel, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the merchandising strategy for our retail apparel brand. Based in the vibrant city of Bali, this full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company.

What you'll be doing

1. Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales, maximize stock efficiency and maintain a balanced product assortment

2. Analyze market trends, customer preferences and sales data to inform merchandising decisions

3. Collaborate with the design, buying and marketing teams to ensure a cohesive and appealing product offering

4. Manage and oversee the visual merchandising and in-store presentation of products

5. Monitor inventory levels, identify slow-moving or excess stock, and implement strategies to optimise stock turnover

6. Provide regular performance reports and insights to the leadership team

7. Lead and mentor a team of merchandising and visual merchandising professionals

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a merchandising or retail management role, preferably within the apparel industry

2. Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing effective merchandising strategies

3. Proficient in data analysis and interpreting sales and inventory data to inform decision-making

4. Strong visual merchandising skills and an eye for creative product presentation

5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

6. Proven leadership and team management experience

7. Adaptable and agile in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment
