Position Overview

The Legal Officer is responsible for providing legal advice and support to ensure that the company’s operations, contracts, and policies comply with applicable laws and regulations. This position plays a key role in managing legal risks, reviewing and drafting agreements, and supporting various departments in corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters. The Legal Officer will work closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel to safeguard the company’s legal interests and ensure that all business activities are conducted in accordance with legal standards and ethical practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Provide legal advice and opinions to management and departments on operational, regulatory, and corporate matters.
• Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and government policies relevant to the company’s business and ensure proper implementation.
• Support compliance initiatives, including the development and enforcement of internal policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel for litigation, permits, and other legal matters as required.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of company legal records, licenses, and agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (S.H.), preferably with a license to practice (Advocate/Peradi is an advantage).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in corporate or commercial law, preferably in the mining, energy, or natural resources sector.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian laws and regulations, particularly in corporate, contract, and labor law.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
