Job Description: Legal Business Analyst - Driving Compliance & Government Relations at Caterpillar Batam

• Government Relations - Build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national government bodies; monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on operations; represent Caterpillar in discussions with government officials; manage permits, licenses, and certifications to ensure legal compliance; ensure timely and accurate reporting to government agencies.
• Legal Affairs - Ensure compliance with national and local laws (labor, tax, environmental, etc.); manage and archive legal documents and contracts; conduct legal research to support business decisions; educate internal teams on regulatory changes and compliance requirements.
• Communication and Coordination - Act as a liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders; provide regular updates to leadership on legal and regulatory matters.

• Data Gathering & Analysis - Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, ability to collect and synthesize data from various stakeholders to reach conclusions.
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail - Ability to complete tasks with high precision.
• Confidentiality - Knowledge of practices governing disclosure of information and the ability to apply it appropriately.
• Effective Communications - Ability to transmit and interpret ideas and information clearly.
• Flexibility and Adaptability - Ability to adapt to change and varying environments.
• Managing Multiple Priorities - Ability to manage concurrent objectives and allocate time effectively.
• Problem Solving - Ability to recognize and resolve organizational or process problems; apply problem-solving knowledge to diverse situations.
• Data Entry Management - Ability to manage data entry and report results during daily work.

• Educational Background - Bachelor's degree in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Experience - Minimum 3-5 years in legal affairs, government relations, or regulatory compliance; preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Communication Skills - Excellent verbal and written skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English; able to represent the company professionally externally.
• Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with government agencies, legal bodies, and internal stakeholders.
• High ethical standards and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant, including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing/pulling equipment.
