Job Description

The Lead Fulfillment Network will play a pivotal role in shaping Astro's long-term fulfillment strategy. This role will translate end-to-end operational flows into scalable network designs, optimized warehouse layouts, and cost-to-serve models to ensure reliable and cost-efficient performance. Responsibilities include network footprint expansion, evaluation of future warehouse locations, financial return assessments, and alignment of fulfillment capabilities with Astro's growth strategy. The position requires strong business acumen, expertise in multi-site warehousing, and the ability to lead cross-functional execution of network initiatives.

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Network Design 

• Calculate long term vision for warehouse and roadmap for the company's fulfillment network to meet service-level objectives and cost targets

• Optimize warehouse footprint, including evaluation on facility locations, capacity, and infrastructure investments

• Build and maintain fulfillment models to guide inventory placement, order routing, and cost-to-serve optimization

• Partner with finance and executive leadership to develop and manage network budgets, investment cases, and ROI analyses.

2. Performance Management & Optimization

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data analytics, process engineering, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

• Identify and mitigate risks across the supply chain, including capacity constraints, compliance issues, or service disruptions.

• Benchmark network performance against industry standards to maintain competitive advantage

3. Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with demand planning, infrastructure, process excellence, operation, mid mile and product teams to ensure synchronized network design execution.

• Influence executive decision-making by providing clear insights on operational trade-offs and network investments.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business / Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related fields.

• 5+ years experience in network design, supply chain planning, or expansion.

• Proven experience in multi-site fulfillment network design, project management, and financial analysis (P&L exposure preferred)

• Ability to present complex ideas in a systematic and concise manner. Strategic thinker with strong financial acumen

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to learn and to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
