About the role
We are a agricultural industry specific research firm which focus on developing a long term policy recommendations both for private actors and public policy makers. Please join our dynamic team as a Junior Economist. This full-time position is based in Jakarta, where you will play a key role in shaping strategic decisions and policy direction for the the industry. As part of our team, you will leverage your expertise in economics to drive impactful insights and recommendations.
What you'll be doing
Conduct comprehensive economic analysis and research to support the development of industry strategies and policies
Collect, interpret and synthesise data from various sources to uncover market trends and economic factors influencing the industry
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide economic advice and recommendations that inform high-level decision-making
Prepare detailed reports, presentations and briefings to communicate complex economic concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Stay up-to-date with the latest economic policies, regulations and industry developments to anticipate potential impacts
Support the implementation and monitoring of economic strategies and policies within the agricultural sector
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or a related quantitative field
0-3 years of experience in economic research, analysis or consulting, preferably within the agriculture industry (Fresh Grads are welcome)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical information into actionable recommendations
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel, R or Python
Familiarity with economic principles, policies and regulations related to the agricultural industry
Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
