TAO studio is looking for an Interior Designer who will work together with our teams to develop interior design projects from concept through production. From mood boards and layouts to material specification and details, you will lead the development of strong conceptual narratives and poetic ideas. The ideal candidate has a deep curiosity and strong design concept that will improve our Interior Design team at TAO. 

Qualifications:  

• Professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture  

• 5+ years experience as an Interior Designer or Architect, demonstrating good leadership and problem solving skill.

• hospitality and high-end residential project experience; F&B experience is a plus  

• Knowledgeable in materials, millwork design, and furniture details; Styling is a plus

• Strong Sketchup, Lumion/enscape, AutoCAD, photoshop & Indesign

• Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and self-manage time  

• Experience with built projects  

• Ability to work in a collaborative environment 

• Proactive with good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team

• Willingness to listen, share and learn from all members of the team

• Self-motivated, experimental and curious to learn new things

Responsibilities:  

• Creating interior design concepts and strategies  

• To prepare, and reviewing interior concept, drawings, models, images, material & mood boards and other documents relating to the design

• Working closely with design teams, Project Managers and vendors 

• Taking initiative and developing design options and output

• Preparing and editing drawings as they relate to projects  

• Site visit to assist in reviewing drawings, mock ups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractors
