About the role
This is a full-time position based in Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, working for PT Wings Global Logistics, a leading provider of freight and cargo forwarding services. As the Export Import Ocean Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the company's ocean freight operations, ensuring efficient and compliant import and export logistics for our valued clients.
What you'll be doing
Manage and optimise end-to-end Air/Ocean freight operations, including booking, documentation, tracking, and problem resolution
Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, port authorities, and customs agencies to ensure seamless cargo movement
Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
Provide expert guidance and training to the ocean freight team, ensuring they deliver exceptional customer service
Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives
Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and drive innovation
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior Air/Ocean freight management role within the logistics or freight forwarding industry
Thorough understanding of Air/Ocean freight operations, including customs clearance, documentation, and regulatory requirements
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
Proficiency in relevant software and IT systems used in the logistics industry
Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and a continuous improvement mindset
