HSE Officer

• Oversee and manage the overall HSE compliance at the site.

• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and procedures in alignment with company HSE policies.

• Organize monthly safety meetings and conduct regular site safety audits, reporting findings to senior management.

• Deliver safety training sessions and other HSE-related education as directed by leadership.

• Carry out routine safety inspections—daily, weekly, and monthly—and document findings accordingly.

• Collaborate with both workers and management to establish and maintain a safe working environment.

• Perform risk assessments for on-site tasks and operations.

• Conduct audits of the site and its contractors/subcontractors; issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and document accidents or incidents.

• Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Support the creation of a proactive safety culture on-site.

• Apply prior experience in infrastructure project HSE management effectively.

• Always follow safe work practices and ensure all tasks comply with company HSE policies and procedures.

• Uphold Stantec's Core Values and comply with all relevant quality and safety protocols.

• Maintain a safe, healthy, and hazard-free workplace at all times.

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

• At least 12 years of professional experience, preferably in Operations & Maintenance, including exposure to pumping stations, construction, rehabilitation projects, and wastewater systems.
