Position Summary:The Head of Human Resources (HR) is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of human capital management at the university. This position leads the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with institutional goals, ensures compliance with employment laws and policies, and fosters a positive, inclusive workplace culture that supports faculty, staff, and administrative excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership• Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the university's mission, values, and strategic plan.• Serve as a trusted advisor to university leadership on organizational development, workforce planning, and talent management.• Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the institution.
Policy & Compliance• Ensure HR policies and procedures are compliant with federal, state, and local labor laws as well as higher education regulations.• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, and proactively advise on potential risks and changes in policy.
Talent Management & Development• Oversee full-cycle recruitment for academic and non-academic positions, ensuring best practices in hiring and onboarding.• Lead initiatives in employee engagement, retention, succession planning, and leadership development.• Design and deliver professional development programs for faculty and staff.
Employee Relations• Manage conflict resolution, grievance processes, and disciplinary procedures with fairness and transparency.• Foster a collaborative work environment and serve as a mediator when necessary.
Compensation & Benefits• Oversee compensation strategy, job classification systems, and performance review processes.• Evaluate and manage employee benefit plans, ensuring competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
HR Operations• Lead and manage the HR team, including recruitment, employee records, HRIS systems, and payroll coordination.• Monitor key HR metrics and prepare regular reports for university leadership.
Persyaratan Khusus
Qualifications:• Education & Experience• Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.• 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.• Prior experience in a university or educational institution strongly preferred and know about Undang Undang kedosenan
Skills & Competencies : • Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment law.• Strategic thinker with the ability to lead change and drive innovation.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.• Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.• High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.• Certifications : PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
Working Conditions:• Office-based position with occasional travel to other university campuses or events.• May be required to work evenings or weekends based on institutional needs.
