The Role

Our Bali Finance Manager will be responsible for supporting the Finance Director in overseeing the financial operations across Indonesia, working alongside the ROW Finance Manager to align processes and cover where applicable. The Finance Manager will play a key role in supporting senior leadership and the Board, including in the preparation of high‑quality board packs and management information. This will involve analysing and presenting key business KPIs, financial performance, and commercial insights to support strategic decision‑making.

Our Bali Finance Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the preparation of monthly management accounts in a timely manner – including but not limited to profit and loss reports, balance sheets, board reports and cash flow forecasts, along with other relevant financial information such as trend analysis, spend analysis reports and graphical representation of items within the financial statements.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Review of individual company management accounts as prepared by the Management Accountants.
  • Assist the Finance Director in producing the monthly and annual financial reporting requirements.
  • Review of monthly balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations for both Motel Rocks Bali and Motel Rocks Indonesia.
  • Preparation, analysis and reporting of monthly KPI dashboards, ensuring we deliver accurate and insightful data that can support business performance.
  • Oversee financial audit, including preparation of supporting documents.
  • Managing the Cash Flow of the relevant companies.
  • Communicate with internal and external parties for any finance related situation and transactions.
  • Management of Motel’s expanding Finance team, and reporting to the Finance Director.
  • Involvement in improvements to internal processes and improving efficiencies within the team.
  • Support Motel’s sustainability initiatives by considering how our practices can improve, actively working in line with the sustainability journey of the business.

About you

  • 5 years experience in a similar role, with previous experience in a manufacturing and/or retail environment being particularly advantageous.
  • Previous supervision of staff and confidence in managing a team is essential.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing and/or retail environment would be advantageous, particularly where there is exposure to stock, supply chain, and margin management.
  • Costing experience would also be beneficial, including product costing, variance analysis, and an understanding of cost drivers to support pricing and profitability decisions.
  • Experience working with ERP systems is highly desirable, including involvement in system implementation, optimisation, or ongoing management, with the ability to ensure data integrity and meaningful reporting across the business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to speak to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent team working skills are essential.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Sound business knowledge and commercial awareness.
  • Accuracy and an eye for detail is essential.
