The ideal candidate will have experience managing both a production facility and a team. They should be able to analyze each step of the manufacturing process and make effective use of resources to deliver desired outcomes. The candidate will also have an ability to follow safety and compliance guidelines diligently in order to create a healthy work environment for all employees.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee end-to-end plant operations, including budget planning, production scheduling, inventory control, and resource allocation
2. Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant workplace in line with company policies and regulatory requirements
3. Monitor plant performance using key metrics (productivity, efficiency, OEE, downtime) and drive improvements
4. Analyze production costs and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability
5. Ensure adherence to quality standards and collaborate with QA/QC teams
6. Lead, manage, and develop plant workforce to achieve operational excellence
7. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, 5S, etc.)
8. Optimize processes to ensure effective utilization of resources

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
2. Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in managerial role
3. Experience in plant management and manufacturing operations
4. Strong leadership, communication, and supervisory skills
5. Knowledge of production planning, cost control, and continuous improvement methodologies
6. Experience in steel or heavy industry is a plus
7. Willing to be placed and work in Timika, Papua
