In this role, you will:

• Apply Thiess Plant Procedure within the work force in relation to safety/environmental in carrying out work duties
• Coordinate asset management activities across nominated sites.
• Assist planning in the development and implementation of an integrated planning process for major plant activities & optimize major rebuild schedules
• Implement cost management strategy for plant activities which is consistent with the strategy of the Indonesian Plant Department
• Ensure plant operational activities are completed in a safe, timely, efficient, environmentally aware and cost-conscious manner
• Ensure there is effective utilization of plant personnel and resources to achieve optimum performance in all facets
• Manage the relevant mobile plant assets to ensure 90% availability by proactive and continuous improvements to the asset base
• Lead, organize and provide direction for employees to ensure required performance is achieved in people performance, HSE&Q outcomes and the business results

• Graduate from Tertiary Degree in Maintenance /Engineering or related discipline;
• Minimum of 10 years previous experience in a senior role experience in large open cut mining operation of which at least five years in production/service supervision/ management role as Manager Plant, experience working with a mining contractor is also highly regarded;
• Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance management principles and practice, People handling skill diagnostic skills in all aspects of mechanical repairs.
• Mechanic experience on Thiess equipment e.g. Cat, Komatsu, Liebherr, Coal hauling and lifting equipment.Financial reporting & concepts
• OHS&E requirements Legislative and statutory requirements
• Computer literacy
• Strong leadership and motivational skills; Strong Mentoring skills; Good analytical skills; Strong communication and negotiation skills; Good English communication skill is a must
• A commitment to safety and a desire to maintain our Indonesian coal operations to world class international safety standards. You should also be able to clearly demonstrate previous results together with a pro-active commitment towards safety whilst having attained the teamwork and respect of local communities and adherence to relevant environmental standards;
• A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement;
• Hold POP/POM/POU certificate of Mine Energy Department is desirable
