Position Overview
The English Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction in English First Language to high school students (International GCSE and A Level). The ideal candidate is passionate about education, skilled in classroom management, and committed to supporting students in developing problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
* Familiar with English in UK Curriculum (Cambridge, Pearson, etc)
* Able to teach other subjects (Global Perspective / Global Citizenship) is a plus point
* Minimum 2 years of experience teaching in the International School
* Assess, record, and report on student progress regularly.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
* Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and share best practices.
* Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school leadership regarding student progress and concerns.
* Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
* Uphold the values, vision, and mission of the school.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, or a related field.
* Prior teaching experience at the high school level preferred.
* Strong knowledge of English content and pedagogy.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
* Ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning.
* Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love of English.
