Job Description

The Digital Drilling Engineer (DDE) is responsible for the implementation, office adoption, and customer support of DrillPlan, DrillOps, and Drilling Data projects. The DDE provides digital drilling product support to end users to achieve the defined deliverables and performance as per the scope of work for each specific project. The position holder functions as a technical advisor and assists in driving the adoption of digital drilling tools and processes. The position reports to the Digital Drilling Lead.

Successful candidates are excellent communicators, enjoy solving complex problems, and work well in cross-functional teams. They are passionate about leveraging digital tools to optimize drilling operations and deliver value to customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the implementation and adoption of digital drilling tools (DrillPlan, DrillOps, and Drilling Data) across customer projects.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize the value of digital drilling solution for customers.
• Keep abreast of all advancements in digital drilling technologies and best practices.
• Monitor project performance and ensure deliverables align with the scope of work.
• Develop extensive relationships with customers to understand their technical challenges and provide fit to purpose solutions.
• Interface with the digital organization to capture and communicate software enhancement ideas.
• Build an effective communication to guide customers through the adoption of digital drilling tools.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in drilling operations, digital solutions, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of the drilling domain, including drilling practices, technologies, and challenges.
• Knowledge of drilling software, digital tools, and data analysis systems.
• Having field exposure to drilling activities, including hands-on experience in drilling operations, well planning, or well execution would be advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English
