About the role

As a Compensation and Benefit Specialist at Batu Ampar Container Terminal, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing comprehensive compensation and benefit programs that attract, retain and motivate our talented workforce. Based in Batam, Kepulauan Riau, this full-time position will see you partnering closely with business leaders to ensure our remuneration strategies are aligned with the company's objectives and market best practices.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting market research and analysis to benchmark our compensation and benefit offerings against industry standards
2. Developing and administering competitive pay structures, including base salaries, bonuses, and incentive plans
3. Designing and managing employee benefit programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and various leave entitlements
4. Providing guidance and support to managers on compensation-related matters, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organization
5. Collaborating with the HR team to implement and communicate compensation and benefit policies and procedures
6. Maintaining accurate records and generating reports to track and analyze remuneration data
7. Staying up-to-date with relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement

What we're looking for

1. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a compensation and benefits role, preferably within a fast-paced, complex organization, port, logistic, or related industries.
3. Excellent understanding of payroll systems, tax regulation, labor laws, compensation and benefits best practices, as well as relevant laws and regulations
4. Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and the use of HRIS and compensation management software
5. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
6. High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
7. Strong command of the English language.
