We are looking for a Coal Trade, Documentation & Operations with experience in the banking industry or export-import industry. This is a full-time on-site role located in Jakarta. The Coal Trade, Documentation, and Operations Specialist is responsible for managing trade finance transactions, ensuring accurate documentation, and overseeing operational processes related to trading activities. This role requires a strong understanding of financial instruments, import/export regulations, operational efficiency in trade execution, maintaining business relationship with bank partners, handling financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with UCP 600 regulations.

Key Tasks

Trade Finance Management:

• Handle letters of credit (LCs), bank guarantees, and other trade financing instruments to facilitate smooth transactions.

• Coordinate with financial institutions to optimize trade finance solutions.

• Assess and mitigate financial risks associated with international trade deals.

• Ensure compliance with banking and regulatory requirements for trade finance transactions.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Prepare and review import/export documentation in line with trade regulations and company policies.

• Liaise with banks, customs authorities, and trade partners to ensure accurate documentation.

• Maintain records of transactions, ensuring compliance with local and international trade laws.

• Verify invoices, shipping documents, and payment terms to prevent discrepancies.

Operations & Logistics Coordination:

• Monitor trade transaction workflows to ensure efficient execution.

• Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers for timely clearance of goods.

• Track shipments and resolve operational issues related to logistics and supply chain.

• Identify opportunities to optimize operational efficiency in trade-related processes.

Qualifications & Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, International Trade, or related field.  

• 3-5 years of experience in trade finance, documentation, or trading operations.  

• Strong knowledge of trade finance instruments and international trade laws.

• Proficiency in banking documentation, SWIFT transactions, and compliance requirements. 

• Excellent coordination and problem-solving skills in handling trade operations. 

• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders including banks, suppliers, and logistics providers.  

• Having work experience in Banking or Trading is a plus.

• Having certification in UCP and ISP is a plus.

Preferred Skills: 

• Knowledge of trade finance platforms (Oracle or similar).  

• Experience in coal trading, commodity trading or industrial trade operations.  Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.  

• Proficiency in English.
