About the role

Join the dynamic culinary team at Noah Maratua Resort as a Chinese Cuisine Chef De Partie / Commis. This exciting full-time role based in the stunning East Kalimantan region offers the opportunity to showcase your expertise in Chinese cuisine and contribute to the success of this acclaimed resort.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and cook a wide range of authentic Chinese dishes to the highest standards using fresh, seasonal ingredients

• Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development and kitchen operations

• Ensure all food preparation and presentation meets the resort's exceptional quality standards

• Collaborate with the broader culinary team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests

• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment

• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering of ingredients and supplies

• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for enhancing the Chinese cuisine offering

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1 years' experience as a Chef De Partie or Commis, specialising in Chinese cuisine

• Formal culinary training or qualification in Chinese cuisine

• Strong working knowledge of traditional Chinese cooking techniques, flavours and ingredients

• Excellent time management, multitasking and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive kitchen culture

• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences

• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
