About the role
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Chef de Partie at Syrco Base in the vibrant town of Ubud, Bali. As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of our kitchen, ensuring the consistent delivery of high quality, innovative dishes that showcase our commitment to local, sustainable ingredients. This full time position is an excellent opportunity to elevate your skills and be part of a passionate, creative culinary experience.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the day to day operations of your assigned kitchen station, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards. Collaborate with the Head Chef and other Chefs de Partie to develop new menu items and refine existing recipes
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, guiding them in technique, presentation and time management
- Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and a exceptional dining experience for our guests
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen environment
- Participate in inventory management and cost control initiatives to optimise efficiency and profitability
What we're looking for
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a high-calibre, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or a related field
- Strong technical cooking skills, with a focus on presentation and flavour profiles
- Passion for using locally sourced, sustainable ingredients to create innovative dishes
- Excellent time management, multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- A positive, solution-oriented attitude and a commitment to maintaining high standards
