Objectives:
To lead and managed pastry section.
To contribute to the restaurant's creative vision by elevating traditional Indonesian Desserts.
To support the kitchen team in achieving operational excellence, flavor consistency and smooth service execution.
Responsibilities:
Daily Operations
Prepare and manage mise en place for pastry station.
Execute dishes during service in accordance with the restaurant's standards and style.
Maintain a clean and efficient workstation before, during, and after service.
Ensure consistent flavor, texture, and presentation for every plate.
Assist with ordering, receiving, checking, and storing goods.
Teamwork and Leadership
Support junior staff and trainees with guidance and example.
Communicate clearly with team members during prep and service.
Take responsibility for assigned station and report any issue to Sous Chef/Head Chef proactively.
Creative and Personal Growth
Take part in R&D and seasonal menu development.
Suggest Ideas and give insights to Sous Chef or Head Chef for improvement on efficiency in pastry section.
Proactively developing technical skills.
Actively following the trend and accolades in the restaurant world e.g. 50 Best and Michelin guide.
Professional Requirements
Degree in Hospitality or Culinary.
2 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen.
Hands-on knowledge of Pastry and Baking techniques.
Showcasing passion on Indonesian Cuisine.
Ability to organize a section and work well in a team.
A strong communication skill.
Accustomed to using English regularly in a team setting.
Ability to work under high pressure.
Comfortable engaging with guests.
