Job Description:

Under the supervision and reports directly to the Business Development Manager, s/he will play a key role in securing funding, building strategic partnerships, and exploring business opportunities that support our mission and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities of Business Development Officer include but are not limited to:

1. Identify, research, and pursue new funding opportunities from donors, corporate partners, and other sources.
2. Develop high-quality proposals, concept notes, and business pitches aligned with WEI's vision, mission, and programs.
3. Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, government agencies, and relevant stakeholders.
4. Explore and develop business opportunities to strengthen WEI's social enterprise initiatives.
5. Collaborate with internal teams to align funding strategies with program priorities and organizational goals.
6. Monitor industry trends and donor landscapes to anticipate opportunities and challenges.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Development Studies, International Relations, Agriculture, Forestry, or related field.
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising, proposal development, partnership building, or business development (preferably in NGO or social enterprise sectors).
3. Strong writing skills, analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
4. Excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
5. Strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
6. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint.
