As a Solutions Architect (SA), you will collaborate with some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across an entire ecosystem of services and solutions on AWS. You will also join a team that invests in your success by providing comprehensive learning programs and work in an open environment that includes self-paced learning, hands-on projects, and project shadowing opportunities to develop your knowledge and capabilities as an SA.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a key member of the business development and account management team in helping to ensure customer’s success in designing and building solutions and services on AWS
• Lead customers to define and execute technical and business strategies
• Help shape and deliver a cloud strategy based on the risks, limitations and characteristics of different AWS and 3rd party services.
• Own the technical engagement with clients and ultimate success around specific implementation and consultation projects
• Raise clarification, design, and respond to RFPs
• Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services should be constructed on AWS
• Work deeply with customers to accelerate their adoption of the cloud through migration, data & analytics, and cloud-native development.
• Perform proof-of-concepts (POC’s) with customers to showcase how a solution offering works and increase the customer’s understanding of the technology.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of the cloud and help in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for a successful deployment through a well-architected framework

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science and other related field
• 5 – 7 years of hands-on experience as a Solutions Architect with previous hands-on experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking)
• Experience in one of the key cloud platforms – including but not limited to VMware, OpenStack, AWS, Azure, and GCP – AWS is a plus.
• Knowledge in software development (SDLC), RESTful API concepts, and programming practice
• Understanding of application, server, and network security
• Experience in formal presentations, whiteboarding, and small group presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex issues.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and virtual teams.
• Have strong written and communication/presentation skills. Outspoken and can communicate technical topics effectively and clearly.
• Certified AWS Solutions Architect – Associate is a plus
• Experience in RFP/Acquisition support; market analysis; and cost-benefit analysis is a plus

Notes: Candidates with more experience will be considered as Senior Solutions Architect.
