Responsibilities:

• Setup and Operation:

  • Set up, configure, and operate all audio equipment, including soundboards, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and DJ setups, ensuring optimal sound quality.

  • Install, configure, and operate visual equipment such as projectors, LED screens, video walls, and media servers, ensuring smooth playback and engaging displays.

  • Program and operate lighting consoles, intelligent lighting fixtures, dimmers, and special effects equipment to create dynamic and visually appealing environments.

  • Ensure all equipment is correctly connected, calibrated, and functioning flawlessly before and during events.

• Technical Support During Events:

  • Provide real-time technical support for DJs, performers, and event organizers, addressing any audio, visual, or lighting issues promptly and efficiently.

  • Monitor sound levels and make adjustments as needed to maintain optimal audio quality throughout the venue.

  • Execute lighting cues and visual effects in sync with the music and performances.

  • Troubleshoot technical problems quickly and effectively to minimize disruptions.

• Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

  • Perform regular maintenance checks on all AVL equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  • Identify and diagnose technical issues, performing minor repairs and escalating more complex problems to the appropriate personnel.

  • Maintain an organized inventory of cables, connectors, and spare parts.

  • Keep the AVL booth and equipment storage areas clean and organized.

• Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the Venue Manager, event staff, DJs, and performers to understand their technical requirements and ensure their needs are met.

  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding any technical issues or changes to the setup.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AVL technologies and best practices.

• Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures related to the operation and maintenance of AVL equipment.

  • Ensure all cabling and equipment are safely installed and secured to prevent hazards.

  • Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (typically 1+ years) as an AVL technician, preferably in a live entertainment or nightclub environment.

• Strong technical knowledge of professional audio systems, including digital and analog mixing consoles, sound reinforcement, and microphone techniques.

• Solid understanding of visual systems, including projectors, LED screens, video processing, and media servers.

• Proficiency in operating lighting consoles, DMX control, and various intelligent lighting fixtures.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to think logically under pressure.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and late nights, as required by the nightclub schedule.

Preferred Skills:

• Formal education or certifications in audio engineering, video production, or lighting design.

• Experience with specific software and hardware commonly used in nightclub settings.

• Basic understanding of networking principles relevant to AVL systems.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.

• Comfortable working in a loud and dynamic environment.
